The difference between die casting and injection molding

May 27 , 2021

Die-casting molding is to inject metal materials into a die-casting mold through a die-casting machine to cool and form. Molding requires that the metal material is heated from a solid state to a liquid state, and then water is injected into the mold to cool the mold like a small injection. Both the hot chamber and the cold chamber of the inlet are larger than the injection inlet. The processing temperature is high. high speed.

Injection molding is to inject polymer materials into a plastic mold through an injection molding machine to cool and form. Molding only heats the plastic material from a solid state to soften it into a fluid, and then rotates the screw to push the heated and softened plastic into the mold for cooling. The processing temperature is low. Slightly slower.
